Position Description

Surf Instructing Operations (Primary)  80%
 

• Deliver solely or as a team; surf lessons, camps, programs and complex school and corporate events

• Deliver solely or as a team; kayakaing / paddleboarding and other water based experiences

• Provide beginner, progressive and advance surf coaching to our guests across a diverse range of clientelle

• Meet, greet participants, customers and other persons as required addressing needs

• Ensure events and activities are setup and prepared for in full before customers arrive.

• Ensure a tidy presentable workplace and personal presentation at all times including the wrap up and pack up of events and activities

• Follow policies and procedures delivering hire, lessons and sales

• Ensure safe and positive environment at all times for customers, colleagues, the general public and yourself

• Promote Aotearoa Surf products, services and events where appropriate to all customers and participants.

• Encourage customer feedback, reviews and further participation and retail purchases

• Undergo required training and development as requested

• Other reasonable requests as required in support of general operations

Headquarters Operations (Secondary)  20%

• Opening and closing of shop and checkin services

• Meeting and greeting customers and guests

• Establishing needs (retail sales, lessons, checkin for lessons or accommodation, hire services

• Quickly and efficiently processing customers needs

• Checking all stock and reporting on needs, damage, missing, sales etc

• Cleaning and maintenance of shop ensure is of the best presentation all stock is presented, labelled with pricing etc

• All hire gear is returned, undamaged, cleaned and restocked

• Accurate records are kept of all hires, sales, payment methods and appropriate receipts are booking

• Answering enquiries via phone for multitude of different business entities

• Ensuring Eco Pods and Glamping accommodation is ready for checkins and that accommodation guests

• Accurate records are kept of all hires, sales, payment methods and appropriate receipts & booking confirmations are issued via email to the customer

  Location, Headquaters at 11 Te Arai Point Rd, Te Arai
   
  Paid at  $27.00 - $32.00 / hour based on position and experience + benefits and bonus oppurtunities
  
  FULL TIME SURF INSTRUCTOR POSITION Requirements
  Minimum average of 30 hours per week
  Rostered shift from 6.30am - 8.30pm Monday to Sunday. 
  Required to have a minimum of 2 years Surf Instructing experience or some surf instructing experience and at least 2 years of tourism based guiding for our full time positions
