Management Accountant (Maternity Cover)
Location: Kent
Salary: 45-50K PA
An established international engineering and manufacturing business is seeking a commercially focused Management Accountant to join its finance team. The organisation operates across multiple global markets, supplying innovative technical solutions to a broad customer base and maintaining a strong reputation for quality, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare monthly management accounts and reporting packs.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
Deliver detailed variance analysis and provide meaningful financial insights.
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
Monitor operational costs and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
Business partner with operational and departmental managers.
Complete balance sheet reconciliations and maintain financial controls.
Support statutory reporting and audit requirements.
Drive process improvements and contribute to finance-related projects.

Candidate Profile
Qualified or part-qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
Previous management accounting experience.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems.
Ability to communicate financial information effectively to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
Proactive, organised, and commercially aware.
Experience within manufacturing, engineering, or a similarly operational environment would be advantageous.
