You'll be part of a hands-on crew working on a range of projects including roads, driveways, car parks and footpaths. Day to day, you'll be:
- Preparing sites, including clearing, grading and compacting base layers
- Laying, raking and finishing hot-mix asphalt
- Working alongside pavers and rollers to get a quality finish
- Patching, pothole repairs and general maintenance work
- Setting up and following traffic management on site
- Keeping the site safe, tidy and to spec
- Minimum 2 years' experience in asphalt or roading work
- At least a restricted driver's licence
- Heavy machinery experience (paver, roller, loader, etc.) is not essential but could be an advantage
- A strong work ethic and a positive, team-first attitude
- Good understanding of health and safety on site
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all conditions, including occasional night or weekend work
- Reliable and punctual
- $30-$35 per hour, depending on experience
- Steady, ongoing work with a reputable client
- PPE supplied
- A supportive crew that looks out for each other
