POSITION PURPOSE:
- To manage the planning, design, procurement, delivery and completion of Greenspace Services infrastructure projects, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with Council's strategic objectives, approved budgets, quality standards and project timeframes, while providing high-quality community and environmental outcomes.
- Act in accordance with the New South Wales Work Health Safety Act 2011, Work Health Safety Regulation 2017 and the Work Health and Safety Management (WHS) System.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Essential:
- Relevant tertiary and/or post graduate qualifications in Construction, Civil Engineering, Landscape, Horticulture, Project Management or related fields
- 5+ years' experience of relevant project planning and delivery experience, preferably gained in large, complex work environments.
- Strong project management skills
- Proven experience of long duration delivery projects, typically up to 3 years, with clear objectives, potential for conflict and a number of influential stakeholders
- Strong leadership of small teams and has demonstrated experience to achieve outcomes by providing constructive feedback to others around their performance, strengths and development needs.
- Previously worked in a diverse team environment and worked effectively with support functions reporting to more than one stakeholder.
- Ability to respond to unpredictable risks and manage a number of simultaneous/overlapping phases across multiple projects.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office & Microsoft Project
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Current class 'C' driver's licence.
- High-level written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of executive reports, business cases and strategic recommendations
- Demonstrated leadership capability within operational or technical environments with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation
- Understanding of asset lifecycle planning, capital works integration and operational governance frameworks
