About the Client:
A leading global resources company with extensive operations across Australia and internationally, specialising in the exploration, development and production of iron ore, copper, metallurgical coal and other essential commodities. Its Australian operations span Western Australia, Queensland, South Australia and New South Wales, encompassing large-scale open-cut and underground mining operations, processing facilities, rail networks, ports and supporting infrastructure. The business employs a diverse workforce across mining operations, engineering, maintenance, project delivery, technical services, health and safety, supply chain and corporate functions, with a strong focus on operational excellence, safety, innovation, sustainability and delivering long-term value through responsible resource development.
About the Position:
We are seeking experienced Project Engineers to join the team on major mining projects being delivered under an Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) model. These roles will work closely with the EPCM contractor, technical specialists and key delivery partners to support the successful execution of project scopes across materials handling, mine infrastructure and/or concentrator projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Includes facilitating assurance activities, engaging relevant SMEs and stakeholders, tracking actions to closure, escalating significant technical risks, and reporting assurance status throughout the project.
Skills and Experience:
5 years + experience in mining projects preferably within an Owner’s Team/EPCM environment.
Materials handling, mine infrastructure projects experience would be highly regarded
