About the role

Beattie Air is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Installer to join our Christchurch-based team. We are looking for someone with practical experience in commercial ductwork installation, sheet metal fabrication and associated HVAC installation work.

Key responsibilities

• Installing commercial HVAC ductwork, grilles, diffusers and ventilation systems

• Measuring, cutting, fabricating and assembling sheet metal ductwork

• Installing duct supports, brackets and fittings

• Assisting with copper pipework, refrigerant lines and air conditioning unit installations

• Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and specifications

• Modifying and fitting ductwork to suit site requirements

• Coordinating with other trades and site teams

• Following site health and safety requirements

About you

• Minimum 5 years proven experience in commercial HVAC ductwork installation

• Experience in sheet metal fabrication and duct assembly

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings

• Competence using hand and power tools

• Knowledge of construction site health and safety

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• A reliable attitude and commitment to quality workmanship
