A large, friendly medical centre is looking for an experienced Practice Nurse to join its nursing team on a permanent, 0.8 FTE basis. You’ll work alongside skilled clinical and admin colleagues, backed by a dedicated leadership team, and use the full range of your clinical skills across chronic conditions, consultations and emergency situations.

- Work as part of a large, collaborative nursing team
- Manage chronic conditions and run nurse-led clinics, such as diabetes and asthma
- Provide wound care, cannulation, triage and smear taking
- Support GPs in acute situations
- Keep accurate, up-to-date clinical documentation
- Share feedback and new ideas in a team that welcomes them
- Encouraged to work at the top of your scope of practice

Essential
- Current New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate
- Experience as a Practice Nurse in New Zealand
- Able to work with GPs in acute situations
- Accurate documentation skills
- Comfortable with technology and clinical equipment
- Reliable and shows initiative
- Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa
- Practice that aligns with the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- Certified vaccinator
- Cannulation experience
- Wound care management
- Triage experience
- Cervical smear taker
- Experience running nurse-led clinics for diabetes, asthma and other long-term conditions
