About the role
As Road Surfacing Foreman, you'll be responsible for hands on, day to day leadership and coordination of a site crew, ensuring civil works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Key responsibilities
Supervising and coordinating civil site crews
Take full responsibility for the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of daily site operations
Planning and overseeing daily works, plant, and resources
Leading trenching, earthworks, pavement, and reinstatement works
Conducting toolbox talks and ensuring site safety compliance
Drive a strong safety culture by conducting toolbox meetings, identifying and managing site risks, and ensuring full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements
Completing site documentation, reporting, and daily records
Setting the standard for professionalism, teamwork, and site culture
About you
Extensive and proven experience as a Civil Foreman or Senior Leading Hand delivering complex civil infrastructure projects
Hold Class 2 Licence with WTR endorsements
Strong leadership and people management skills
Advanced hands-on expertise in trenching, earthworks, underground services, and reinstatement, with a proven track record of delivering work to specification
Strong understanding of health, safety, and quality requirements
Ability to read plans, manage daily programs, and coordinate resources
A proactive, solutions-focused approach and strong work ethic
A highly motivated, results-driven attitude with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and commitment to delivering projects safely, on time, and to a high standard
