K9 Handler – Wadeye NT (FIFO, 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off)

Neptune Security Services is seeking a responsible and experienced K9 Handler to support security operations for our client in Wadeye.

The role

You’ll work with a trained security dog to help keep the school, its people and its assets safe. You will:

• conduct foot and vehicle patrols of the school grounds and assets

• monitor the site and help maintain a safe environment

• respond to incidents in line with site procedures

• care for your dog

• communicate clearly with the team

• complete accurate shift reports.

What you need

• A current NT security licence

• A current Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card).

• A current driver’s licence.

Qualifications / units of competencies

·      CPPSEC3112 – Manage training and wellbeing of dogs for security functions

·       CPPSEC3113 – Handle dogs for security patrols

What we’d like

• Experience handling working dogs.

• Experience working in a remote community, which is highly regarded.

• Cultural awareness, and respect for the different clans and cultural protocols in Wadeye, which is also highly regarded.

• Experience with Guardhouse

• High level of computer and device literacy required

The roster

This is a FIFO position on a four-weeks-on, four-weeks-off roster, flying in and out of Darwin. Accommodation is provided on site. Competitive Pay Rate.
