We are seeking an organised and people‑focused Coolstore Supervisor to support efficient post‑harvest operations through accurate data management, system upkeep and strong team leadership.

This role is critical to ensuring product accuracy, minimising fruit loss, and supporting smooth coolstore and packhouse processes in a fast‑paced, seasonal environment.  It plays a key role in leading daily coolstore operations and supporting the forklift team to deliver safe, efficient, and high‑quality outcomes.

Reporting to the Coolstore Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating people, processes, and workloads while ensuring EastPack requirements are consistently met.

This is a hands‑on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in an operational environment, enjoys supporting others to succeed, and takes pride in maintaining high standards of safety, housekeeping and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and support the coolstore forklift team to achieve their KPIs.

• Recruiting and training a seasonal team.

• Manage rosters and allocate daily work.

• Run daily toolbox meetings.

• Complete pre‑season and in‑season checks; monitor rooms and housekeeping.

• Monitor forklift operations to ensure safe handling and minimal damage.

• Maintain training records and promote a safe, tidy workplace.

 To be successful, you will need:

•  Proven experience in coaching and leading teams.

• Strong computer skills – system savvy.

• A practical, proactive approach to problem solving.

• Strong communication and organisational skills.

• Flexibility to work in a fast‑paced, seasonal operation.

• Experience in a coolstore, production or logistics environment.

This role is based at EastPack Limited in Edgecumbe.
