We are looking for experienced and motivated Production Operators to join our team based in Edgecumbe.

This is an exciting time to join the team as we are currently commissioning a new sizer/grader.  This isn’t just another operator role.  It’s an opportunity to:

• Help identify improvements, solve challenges, and contribute to the successful deployment of the new grading platform.

• Leave your mark on a project that will hep drive the future success of the site.

These are key roles in the packhouse, responsible for operating production machinery with a focus on maximising throughput and packing line capacity.  Production Operators need to ensure their allocated areas are well maintained and running smoothly by effectively problem solving when faults arise to ensure a consistent production flow.

They need to be well organised and be able to make good decisions when working under pressure, as well as driving a strong health and safety culture in understanding and demonstrating safe work practices.

You’ll also need:

• Excellent software/computer skills.

• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.

• To be able to build technical and mechanical knowledge for allocated areas of responsibility.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  Able to work well within a diverse team.

• A good knowledge and understanding of ZIL grade standards and EastPack’s quality system.

These are fast-paced and varied roles, so you will need to be resilient, along with the flexibility to be able to work extended hours, including weekends as required.
