- Oversee the daily operations of the dairy department, including managing inventory, ordering products, and ensuring proper stock levels
- Ensure that all dairy products are properly displayed and rotated to maintain freshness
- Train and supervise dairy department staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Implement and enforce company policies and procedures related to food safety and sanitation
- Monitor sales trends and adjust product offerings to meet customer demand
- Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and employee schedules
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring a positive shopping experience
Requirements:
- Previous experience in retail management, preferably in a grocery or dairy department
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers and staff members who may speak different languages (multilingual or bilingual skills are a plus)
- Proficiency in retail math, including budgeting, pricing, and profit margins
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, train, and motivate a team of employees
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
