Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) - Generalist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Generalist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various laboratory environments and demonstrate proficiency in multiple disciplines of laboratory testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic tests across various laboratory departments including blood banking, hematology, urinalysis, coagulation, serology, chemistry, and limited microbiology.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing and reporting of lab results.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide reliable laboratory data for patient care.
• Participate in continuing education programs to stay current with laboratory practices.

Requirements

• Current certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician from a recognized body (ASCP or AMT).
• Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a laboratory setting performing diagnostic testing.
• Ability to float within various areas of the lab as required.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
