Cablerite is a family-owned electrical contracting business with more than 30 years of experience across the Bay of Plenty. Their work spans residential electrical installations, whole-home design, solar systems, security and lighting, primarily across Tauranga, Whangamatā and surrounding areas.
Working with builders, homeowners and premium new developments, the team delivers practical solutions and high-quality workmanship. You’ll join a small, supportive team where your contribution is visible and your experience counts.
About the role
You’ll work across new builds, renovations, solar installations and maintenance, with select commercial projects adding further variety.
Solar is a growing part of Cablerite’s work. Previous solar installation experience would be valuable, but they are also open to someone with a strong interest in renewable energy and a clear appetite to build their capability in this area.

Cablerite welcomes applications from NZ Registered Electricians, as well as electrical apprentices who are nearing completion of their qualification and have spent the majority of their apprenticeship working on solar installations.

- Supporting the installation and integration of solar power systems.
- Coordinating with builders, clients and colleagues to keep projects moving.
- Identifying on-site issues and finding practical solutions.
- Maintaining health and safety standards and completing relevant documentation.
- Representing Cablerite professionally and communicating clearly with customers.

- Current NZ EWRB registration and practising licence, or be close to completing the requirements for registration.
- Solar installation experience, or a strong interest in developing your career in the solar industry.
- Solid residential electrical experience, ideally with some light commercial exposure.
- A strong commitment to health and safety.
- Clear communication and a customer-focused approach.
- A valid New Zealand driver’s licence.
- The legal right to work in New Zealand.
