About the role
We're looking for someone to start in the New Year with us. This is a newly created role as a Talent Partner within our Wellington Business Operations and Customer Experience team, due to growth.
This is a varied, hands-on talent role with a strong focus on temporary recruitment. You'll work closely with your team to attract, assess and engage great people for current and upcoming opportunities, making sure we're well connected to the market and ready to respond when new roles come through.
It's a role for someone who enjoys being busy, building relationships, creating an exceptional candidate experience and finding what others can’t.
What you'll do
- Advertise vacancies and attract quality candidates across temporary and permanent opportunities.
- Screen applications, conduct interviews and assess candidates against role requirements.
- Build and maintain strong talent pools, particularly across our core temporary roles, keeping candidates engaged and ready for upcoming opportunities.
- Proactively source talent for harder-to-fill vacancies and emerging customer requirements.
- Complete background and reference checks, ensuring all candidate information and compliance requirements are in place.
- Work closely with consultants to understand upcoming recruitment needs, changing priorities and talent requirements.
- Keep candidates informed, connected and engaged throughout the recruitment process, delivering a consistently great candidate experience.
- Maintain accurate candidate records, recruitment systems and talent pipelines.
You're someone who enjoys the attraction and assessment side of recruitment. You like finding great people, getting to know what they're looking for and connecting them with opportunities that make sense.
You're proactive and naturally curious about the talent market. You're organised, comfortable working at pace and enjoy being part of a collaborative team that has a lot of laughs and fun along the way (especially on those stressful days!).
You'll bring:
- Experience in recruitment, talent attraction, sourcing or a similar people-focused role.
- Strong ability to screening, interviewing and assess skills.
- The ability to build relationships and maintain engaged talent networks, particularly within temporary recruitment.
- Excellent communication skills and a genuine commitment to candidate experience.
- Strong organisation and attention to detail, particularly around background checks, references and compliance – ensuring nothing is missed is your strength.
- Confidence using technology, recruitment systems and tools.
We are proud of our offering, culture and career opportunities, with some of our benefits including:
- Career development: Cultivate's Talent or Consultant Career Framework.
- Flexibility: Hybrid working up to two days from home a week.
- Extra leave: Five weeks annually after 12 months, plus birthday leave.
- Financial protection: Fully paid health, income protection, trauma and life insurance.
- Recognition: Monthly paid team lunches to celebrate success, plus peer-voted awards.
We believe diversity is vital to a healthy, high-performing workplace. That’s why we’re committed to delivering a psychologically safe recruitment experience. One that uncovers and celebrates your strengths. If traditional hiring processes don’t bring out your best let us know. We want you to shine, not shy away.
