The Hospitality & Retail Duty Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of both Liquorland Te Atatū and Mr Illingworth. This position requires a proactive and customer-focused individual who can lead retail and hospitality operations while delivering exceptional customer service across both venues.
This is a Fixed-Term Part-Time position working a minimum of 25 rostered hours per week. Flexibility is key, with availability to work late nights, weekends, and across both locations as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily retail and hospitality operations, ensuring exceptional customer service across both venues.
- Lead, motivate, and support team members to achieve sales, service, and operational goals.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety requirements, and the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012.
- Maintain stock control, inventory accuracy, and venue presentation standards.
- Provide coaching, training, and ongoing development opportunities for team members.
- Monitor financial transactions, complete POS reconciliations, and prepare daily sales reports.
- Act as Duty Manager, resolving customer issues and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
- Previous experience in a retail, hospitality, or supervisory management role.
- Current LCQ and Manager's Certificate.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience with stock control, cash handling, and operational procedures.
- Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to driving sales and business performance.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and across both locations as required.
