Summary
Haddam Killingworth High School is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our athletic program as an Assistant Boys Lacrosse Coach for the upcoming season. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in lacrosse and a commitment to fostering a positive and competitive environment for student-athletes. This seasonal position offers an opportunity to work closely with the head coach and contribute to the development of our lacrosse program.

Responsibilities
- Assist the head coach in planning and conducting practices and games, ensuring a focus on skill development and team cohesion.
- Help develop game strategies and tactics to enhance team performance.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to student-athletes, promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth.
- Monitor and support the academic and athletic progress of players, encouraging a balance between academics and sports.
- Assist in organizing team events, including fundraisers, camps, and community outreach initiatives.
- Collaborate with other coaching staff and school personnel to ensure the well-being and safety of all student-athletes.
- Maintain effective communication with players, parents, and the school community regarding team activities and expectations.
- Attend all practices, games, and coaching meetings as required.

Requirements
- Previous coaching experience in lacrosse, preferably at the high school level or higher.
- Strong knowledge of lacrosse rules, techniques, and strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the head coach, athletic staff, and school administration.
- Commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive team culture.
- First Aid and CPR certification is preferred, or willingness to obtain prior to the season.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends during the lacrosse season.
- A passion for youth sports and a desire to contribute to the development of student-athletes both on and off the field.
