BIG LEADER ENERGY WANTED. TINY VOICES STYLE!

Centre Manager | Napier CBD

One incredible centre. One awesome leadership crew. One seriously good opportunity.

Let's be clear. We're not looking for someone to simply keep the wheels turning.

We're looking for a leader. A culture builder. A people person. A decision-maker. Someone who walks into a centre and sees possibilities, not problems.

Someone who can inspire a team, build a thriving centre and have a whole lot of fun along the way.

Sound like you? Keep reading. This could be the job you've been waiting for.

First things first. This is YOUR centre to lead.

At Tiny Voices, we don't believe in hiring brilliant Centre Managers and then telling them how to do their jobs every five minutes.

We believe in giving great people the freedom to be great.

As our Napier Centre Manager, you'll have genuine autonomy to run your centre as though it's your own business.

You'll make decisions, drive occupancy, lead your people, build relationships with families, develop your centre culture and put your own stamp on a truly beautiful learning environment.

Of course, with that freedom comes accountability. You'll be responsible for the operational, financial, educational and compliance success of your centre.

But here's the difference: we'll give you the tools, resources, guidance and people around you to succeed.

We trust our managers. We invest in them. And we want them to absolutely thrive.

Your centre? Pretty special, actually.

You'll be leading our stunning, purpose-built Tiny Voices centre, right in the heart of the Bay.

Think thoughtfully designed classrooms, two playgrounds, beautiful learning environments, handpicked resources and generous teacher-child ratios.

You'll also have an established team, including dedicated Head Teachers, an on-site chef and a centre administrator.

This isn't about starting from scratch. It's about taking something already special and making it even better.

Now, let's talk about your new leadership crew.

Because this might just be our favourite part.

At Tiny Voices, our Centre Managers aren't just colleagues. We're a crew.

A close-knit, supportive, slightly cheeky bunch of leaders who genuinely enjoy working together.

We share ideas. We celebrate each other's wins. We ask for help. We give honest advice. We laugh. We learn. And when things get tricky (because let's face it, ECE keeps us on our toes), we've got each other's backs.

You'll have direct support from our General Manager and Owners, along with a network of experienced Centre Managers across our sister centres.

There's no need to figure everything out alone. Someone in our crew has probably been there, done that and has a few ideas to help.

And we take our leadership connections seriously. Very seriously.

So seriously, in fact, that two to three times a year we pack our bags and head off somewhere different around the North Island for our Tiny Voices Manager Conferences.

We're talking Airbnb stays, time away together, leadership workshops, fresh ideas, strategic planning, shared meals and plenty of laughs.

We work on the business, work on ourselves as leaders and build the relationships that make our management team so strong.

It's professional development, connection and team culture all rolled into one.

And yes, we actually like spending time together!

What do you get out of it?

We're glad you asked.

  • Freedom to lead: Genuine autonomy to run your centre, make decisions and bring your vision to life.

  • A leadership team that has your back: Support, collaboration and encouragement from people who genuinely want you to succeed.

  • Our Tiny Manager Conferences: Two to three North Island leadership getaways each year, combining professional growth, connection and a little adventure.

  • A beautiful place to work: A purpose-built, well-resourced centre designed to inspire children and teachers alike.

  • The right tools for the job: Operational guidance, leadership development, practical resources and support when you need it.

  • Full Pay Parity: Because exceptional leadership deserves to be recognised.

  • Real opportunities to grow: We want leaders who are always learning, improving and challenging themselves.

Now, about you. We're setting the bar high.

This isn't an entry-level leadership role, and we're not looking for someone who simply wants to give management a go.

We're looking for someone who has already proven they can lead.

You'll bring:

  • Extensive, demonstrated leadership experience within the ECE sector, ideally including successful Centre Manager experience.

  • Full New Zealand teacher registration and a current first aid certificate.

  • Strong operational knowledge, including Ministry of Education requirements, ERO expectations, licensing and compliance.

  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, develop and retain a high-performing team.

  • Commercial confidence, including occupancy growth, financial performance, enrolments and marketing.

  • Excellent communication, relationship-building and customer service skills.

  • The confidence to make decisions, take ownership and hold yourself and others accountable.

  • A genuine passion for creating an exceptional culture for teachers, tamariki and whānau.

And perhaps most importantly?

You'll be the kind of leader people want to work for, and the kind of colleague other leaders want beside them.

You must already be residing in New Zealand to be considered for this position.

One last thing...

There are plenty of Centre Manager jobs out there.

But how many give you genuine freedom to lead, a beautiful centre to call your own, a leadership team that actually has your back, and a few North Island adventures thrown in?

At Tiny Voices, we work hard, care deeply, celebrate often and believe that great leadership should be both rewarding and enjoyable.

We're proud of what we've built. We're even prouder of the people building it with us.

We're not looking for just any Centre Manager. We're looking for OUR next Tiny Manager.

If you've got the experience, the personality, the drive and the leadership magic, we'd love to hear from you.

Come for the opportunity. Stay for the people.
