Pathways Teacher:  Winter/Spring 2027

Salem Continuing Education is seeking a skilled teacher who is passionate about working with adults with developmental or intellectual disabilities. Continuing Education's Nancy Carney Pathways Program provides students with basic skills the opportunity to practice social skills and to stay engaged in their community.  Pathways Level 1 meets on Monday and Wednesday, 6:00-8:00 pm, Salem High School, January through May 2027.

Core Responsibilities:

• Teaching Life and Daily Living Skills, and Basic Financial Literacy
• Managing Money and Time
• Developing Functional Academics and Communication
• Learning about Current Events and News
• Planning arts and crafts projects
  
  
  Minimum Requirements
  
  1. Bachelor's degree in education, or closely related field.
  2. Demonstrated experience working in special education.
