Harrison McMillan is seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to support and enhance enterprise Microsoft Azure platforms, DevSecOps delivery pipelines, and cloud operations.

This is a long-term contract through to 30 June 2027 with 3 x 12-month extension options and is based in Canberra, ACT. Hybrid working arrangements apply, with an expectation of on-site attendance two days per week.

Due to the nature of this role, a Baseline clearance is required.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement and maintain Azure monitoring, alerting and dashboard solutions.
Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Octopus Deploy.
Improve release reliability, deployment automation and rollback capabilities.
Manage SSL certificates, client secrets and application registrations.
Develop and maintain infrastructure and platform configuration as code.
Support Azure services, performance optimisation and cost management.
Implement secure integrations using Azure API Management, Front Door, WAF and Service Bus.
Support incident resolution, post-incident reviews and continuous improvement.
Provide technical guidance, mentoring and documentation.

Essential Criteria:

Demonstrated experience designing, implementing and supporting Microsoft Azure services.
Experience building and maintaining YAML-based CI/CD pipelines.
Strong experience with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics and KQL.
Experience deploying infrastructure using Bicep, Terraform or similar IaC tools.
Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.

Desirable Criteria:

Experience with Azure Key Vault and automated certificate and secret management.
Experience with Azure API Management, Azure Front Door, WAF and Azure Service Bus.
Experience with performance baselining and load testing.
Experience with AI-assisted operations and engineering tooling.
Experience with Octopus Deploy, .NET 8+, and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Experience working within SAFe or other agile delivery environments.
