An established business within the insurance industry is looking to appoint a qualified CA(SA) to join their finance team. This opportunity is ideal for a technically strong accountant who has gained post-articles experience within an IFRS 17 environment and is looking to deepen their expertise in financial reporting, reconciliations, and stakeholder engagement.
Working closely with finance, actuarial, and reporting teams, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information while supporting regulatory and management reporting processes.

Duties & Responsibilities
Job Description:
- Preparing and reviewing monthly financial reporting packs
- Processing and reviewing accounting entries within Oracle
- Performing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating variances
- Assisting with IFRS 17 reporting and related reconciliations
- Preparing working papers and supporting schedules using Draftworx
- Ensuring financial information is accurate, complete, and audit-ready
- Working closely with actuarial and finance teams to resolve reporting queries
- Assisting with year-end financial statement preparation
- Supporting internal and external audit processes
- Contributing to process improvements and reporting efficiencies
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 5 years' post-articles experience
- Strong insurance industry experience
- Hands-on exposure to IFRS 17 reporting and accounting
- Solid understanding of financial reporting and reconciliations
- Oracle experience advantageous
- Experience with Draftworx advantageous
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines
Qualification:
- CA(SA) - Non-negotiable
- Minimum 5 years' post-articles experience within an insurance environment
- Proven IFRS 17 experience is essential
