An established Australian engineering consultancy is looking to appoint two experienced Civil Engineers as the business continues to grow its water and wastewater division.
These are great opportunities for engineers who enjoy the technical side of design, want to work on interesting infrastructure projects and are looking to have a genuine influence on how projects are delivered.
The business works across a broad range of water infrastructure projects, partnering with major contractors, utilities and government clients throughout Australia.
There are two positions available, with opportunities suited to different levels of experience and technical leadership.
The Opportunities
Senior Civil Engineer / Civil Design Lead
This position is suited to someone with approximately 10+ years of experience who enjoys remaining technically involved while taking responsibility for coordinating design activities and supporting other engineers.
You'll be involved in:
Leading civil and hydraulic design across water and wastewater projects
Preparing and reviewing detailed designs, calculations and technical documentation
Working across treatment plants, pumping stations, pipelines and associated infrastructure
Coordinating with mechanical, process, structural and electrical engineers
Providing technical guidance and mentoring to developing engineers
Working closely with clients and supporting projects from concept through to construction
Senior Civil Engineer / Design Manager
This is a more senior opportunity suited to someone with 15+ years of experience who has demonstrated success managing complex engineering designs and multidisciplinary teams.
You'll take responsibility for:
Leading the design and delivery of major water and wastewater infrastructure projects
Managing multidisciplinary engineering teams and coordinating project resources
Overseeing design quality, technical reviews and engineering deliverables
Managing project budgets, programmes and technical risks
Working closely with clients, contractors and key stakeholders
Mentoring engineers and contributing to the wider growth of the business
What We're Looking For
A degree in Civil Engineering
Strong experience in the Australian water and wastewater industry
Background in engineering consultancy and detailed design
Experience across treatment plants, pipelines, pumping stations or similar infrastructure
Demonstrated technical leadership and project delivery experience
Chartered and relevant professional engineering registration
Strong communication skills and the ability to work with clients and multidisciplinary teams
