Relocate to Auckland! - lead complex three waters projects!

Not Your Typical Supervisor Role

If you're looking for a role where every day looks the same, this isn't it.

We're recruiting for a hands-on Three Waters Foreman to join a specialist civil team delivering complex Three Waters infrastructure projects across Auckland (with some projects across the North Island). You'll be leading crews working on critical water and wastewater assets, often in challenging environments where clients rely on your team to diagnose, manage and resolve problems safely and efficiently.

One day you could be supervising repairs on a large-diameter watermain. The next you could be coordinating emergency wastewater works, working around live assets, or delivering specialist infrastructure projects for major utility clients.

This is a working supervisor role. We need someone who leads from the front, isn't afraid to get their boots dirty, and can earn the respect of their crew through experience and action.

  • Managing day-to-day site operations, safety and quality

  • Working around live water, wastewater and stormwater assets

  • Coordinating emergency and planned maintenance works

  • Reading plans and directing crews to deliver work safely and efficiently

  • Liaising with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders

  • Supporting and mentoring Leading Hands and crew members

  • Participating in an on-call roster for critical infrastructure response

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience supervising Three Waters projects

  • Strong background in pipeline, watermain or wastewater infrastructure

  • Experience working around live assets

  • Ability to lead crews under pressure

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

  • Physically fit and capable of working in challenging environments

  • Strong health and safety mindset

  • Class 2 licence or higher preferred

  • Confined Space, Working at Heights and First Aid advantageous

  • Monday - Friday 7am-5pm 50 hour working week

  • There is an on-call roster.

  • You'll occasionally work nights.

  • Wastewater work can be wet, cold and challenging.

  • Travel is required from time to time, typically one to two weeks, occasionally longer.

What you'll get in return is variety, autonomy, an experienced team around you, and the opportunity to work on some of the most challenging and interesting infrastructure projects in the country.

What's On Offer

  • Company vehicle

  • Phone and laptop

  • Time and a half for overtime

  • On-call allowances

  • Call-out fees

  • Travel and accommodation allowances

  • Genuine progression opportunities

A Final Note

These roles aren't suited to everyone.

We're looking for people who thrive under pressure, take pride in their workmanship, value safety, and genuinely enjoy solving problems. If you're someone who wants challenging work, strong teammates and a chance to build a career in specialist infrastructure, we'd love to hear from you.

Applicants must be prepared to undergo pre-employment health, drug and alcohol testing, criminal conviction history checks, and be a NZ Resident or hold a current NZ work visa.
