As a key member of our small Auckland team, you'll operate industry-leading Bystronic equipment, take ownership of your work, and play an important role in delivering high-quality products to customers throughout New Zealand.
Applicants with previous Bystronic laser and/or press brake experience will be particularly well regarded. However, full training will be provided, including ongoing professional development and future training opportunities with Bystronic factory-trained technicians, as we continue to invest in both our people and our Auckland operation.
Experienced laser and/or press brake operators are strongly encouraged to apply. Applicants with relevant CNC manufacturing experience and a willingness to learn will also be considered.

To support our busy Auckland operation and continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Laser and/or Press Brake Operator to join our team.
About the Role
Depending on your experience and strengths, your duties may include:
Operating CNC fibre laser cutting equipment
Setting up and operating a CNC press brake
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
Selecting and handling materials
Performing in-process and final quality checks to ensure components meet specification
Loading and unloading materials safely and efficiently
Assisting with workflow and production scheduling requirements
Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe work environment
Working closely with other members of the production team to achieve delivery deadlines and quality standards
Whether your background is primarily laser operation, press brake operation, or both, we would like to hear from you.
What We're Looking For
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
Experience operating CNC laser cutting machines, CNC press brakes, or other CNC manufacturing equipment
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Good mathematical and measurement skills
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Ability to work both independently and within a team
Focus on safety and continuous improvement
Reliability, punctuality, and pride in workmanship
Highly Desirable
The following experience would be advantageous:
Experience operating CNC laser cutting equipment
Experience operating CNC press brakes
Previous experience with Bystronic equipment
Forklift licence
Engineering, fabrication, or sheet metal experience
Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment
Quality control and inspection experience
