The Opportunity
As Centre Manager, you'll play a key role in creating an environment where tamariki flourish, kaiako are empowered and whānau feel genuinely connected to their child's learning journey.

What You'll Be Doing
- Lead and inspire a passionate team of kaiako to deliver high-quality outcomes for tamariki.
- Coach, mentor and develop your team, building capability, confidence and strong teaching practice.
- Champion teaching and learning aligned with Te Whāriki, Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Educare's vision of Learn, Laugh, Play.
- Build strong and trusted relationships with tamariki, whānau, local schools and the wider community.
- Lead the successful day-to-day operation of the centre, including staffing, enrolments, occupancy, compliance and financial performance.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and support your team to achieve shared goals.
- Foster a positive, inclusive culture where people feel valued, supported and motivated to succeed.
- Be a visible and approachable leader who is actively involved in the life of the centre.
About You
You're an experienced early childhood leader who gets genuine satisfaction from developing people, building strong teams and creating great outcomes for tamariki.
You'll bring:
- A recognised Early Childhood Education qualification and current New Zealand practising certificate.
- Proven leadership experience within an early childhood setting.
- A genuine passion for coaching, mentoring and developing others.
- Strong operational and organisational skills, with confidence managing centre performance.
- The ability to build positive and trusting relationships with whānau, colleagues and the wider community.
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to have courageous conversations with care, honesty and integrity.
- A commitment to quality teaching, continuous improvement and positive outcomes for tamariki.
- A collaborative and solutions-focused approach to leadership.
