Haven Care is a growing, family-founded private in-home care service, inspired by our own lived experience supporting our ageing parents.
We understand that every person is different, and our focus is on helping older people live well at home, with care and support that respects their individual needs and preferences.
Support you'll provide
Provide companionship through conversation, social outings, walks, appointments and everyday activities
Assist with meal preparation, shopping, laundry and light household tasks
Provide dementia support including companionship, reassurance and practical support
Assist with personal care including showering, dressing, grooming, toileting and safe mobility
About you
A caring, patient and dependable person who enjoys spending time with older people and communicates warmly and respectfully
Experience in home care, dementia support or personal care is welcome. Previous experience is not essential for companionship-focused work
For hands-on personal care, relevant experience is preferred. A Health and Wellbeing qualification (Level 3 or 4), or equivalent, is an advantage
A current driver's licence, reliable insured transport, the legal right to work in New Zealand and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain it)
Police vetting and reference checks form part of our process
