Enjoy varied construction work and seeing a job through to a quality finish? We’re looking for an experienced, trade-qualified builder or landscape construction professional to join our team and help lead our residential landscape projects.
About us
At Tauranga Landscaping & Pools, we create quality residential landscapes and outdoor living spaces across Tauranga and the wider Bay of Plenty.
Our work includes fibreglass pool installations, coping stone installation, decks, retaining walls, fencing, paving, concrete, earthworks and pool surrounds, through to planting and finishing touches. We enjoy complex projects and take pride in getting the details right.
The role
This is a hands-on position with the opportunity to take ownership of jobs and see the results of your work. You’ll work alongside a small crew, organise daily tasks and materials, coordinate with other trades and keep projects moving from site preparation through to completion.
You’ll also communicate with clients and management and maintain a safe, tidy and productive site.
What you’ll bring
A trade qualification in carpentry, landscape construction or a related trade.
Strong carpentry skills, including decks, retaining walls, fencing and timber structures.
Paving and concreting experience, including preparation and finishing.
The ability to read plans, set out work and establish accurate heights, levels and falls.
Experience operating small excavators and loaders, including excavation, levelling, trimming, compaction and base preparation.
Your own tools, including a laser level, suitable for building and landscape construction.
Experience leading a small team, or substantial experience working alongside others and the confidence to step into a leadership role.
A practical approach to solving problems, reliable work habits and good communication.
A full NZ drivers licence and the ability to drive a manual vehicle.
Stonework or masonry skills, WTR endorsements and a Class 2 licence would be an advantage.
We use smartphone-based project management software, with training provided.
What we offer
Competitive pay based on skills and experience, with top rates available to a trade-qualified applicant who meets the full role requirements.
Work vehicle and tool allowance provided.
Your birthday off, paid.
Varied, rewarding projects.
A friendly, experienced team where your skills and ideas are valued.
How to apply
Apply through SEEK, or email your CV and a brief introduction to [email protected].
Please include references and photos or examples of work you’ve completed. We want to see the quality of your work and understand your part in delivering it.
