About the role
An exciting opportunity exists to join the small dedicated team at one of New Zealand's most beautiful, award winning, friendly marinas. The Manager is responsible for the operation of the entire marina asset and business to ensure efficient and profitable operations and maximises the potential of the facility. The successful applicant will be organised and able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task and problem solve. You must be confident driving heavy machinery as Driving the Travellift is part of the role.
Key responsibilities
Manage all aspects of marina operations
Experience in a management role and an ability to plan and implement business strategies
Provide the highest level of customer service
Experience with financial administration
Provide financial reporting and analysis to the Marina management committee
Preparation of annual budgets
Work with the other team members and sub-contractors to ensure smooth delivery of daily services and resolving Health & Safety and compliance issues
Ensure all resource consents are compliant, and applications are lodged in a timely manner
Enforce Marina rules and NZ legislative Acts
About you
Experience in a management role and an ability to plan and implement business strategies
Collaborative working style with strong interpersonal, management and administration skills
Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) at an advanced level
Excellent organisational, analytical, and written communication skills
Experience with financial administration with ability to use Xero
Ability to operate heavy machinery (travel lift, forklift)
Must be able to work in New Zealand and have the flexibility to start Late January
Experience with marina management software (Pacsoft MMS) an advantage
Knowledge and passion for boating and the marine industry
Vessel handling experience - SRL/ILM desirable
First aid certification can be provided
High level of practical skills a must
