About the role
Madison Qualitex Laundry Service Ltd is seeking a dedicated and reliable Washroom Operator to join our team in Avondale, Auckland. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our laundry operations. As a Washroom Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining industrial washing equipment, ensuring that all textiles are processed to the highest quality standards. This role is essential to our daily operations and directly impacts our ability to deliver exceptional service to our clients.
Key responsibilities
Operating industrial washing machines and related equipment in accordance with established procedures and safety protocols
Loading, unloading, and sorting textiles prior to and following the washing process
Monitoring washing cycles and making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal results
Performing routine maintenance checks on washing equipment and reporting any faults or issues to supervisors
Maintaining accurate records of production runs, including quantities processed and any issues encountered
Ensuring the washroom environment remains clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations
Following all company policies and procedures, including those related to chemical handling and waste management
Collaborating with team members to meet production targets and deadlines
What we're looking for
Experience in operating industrial washing equipment or similar machinery in a manufacturing or laundry environment, would be nice to have. But full training will be provided.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain consistent quality standards
Excellent mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues
A commitment to safety and adherence to health and safety regulations
Physical capability to perform lifting and repetitive tasks throughout the working day
Reliable and punctual attendance record
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Basic numeracy and literacy skills for record-keeping and following written instructions
Flexibility to adapt to shift patterns or varying production demands as required
We are a seven day a week operation. This role will include weekend rosters.
