About Us

New Zealand Brush Company (NZ Brush) is a proudly New Zealand-owned and operated business, specialising in the manufacture and supply of quality brushes and cleaning solutions for a wide range of industries.

With branches across New Zealand, we have built a strong reputation for quality products, practical solutions and great customer service. We are a down-to-earth, hardworking team that values teamwork, innovation and looking after our people.

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Service and Distribution Representative to join our team on a fixed-term basis until the end of March 2027.

Help keep our customers running

Are you practical, good with people and someone others can rely on to get the job done?

NZ Brush is looking for a Service and Distribution Representative who takes pride in safe driving, dependable service and strong customer relationships.

We are a manufacturer and solutions business helping customers reduce risk, protect uptime and raise standards. We bring together products, practical knowledge and ongoing support that fit into how our customers work.

The role

Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, you will deliver orders safely, accurately and on time, and support the warehouse between delivery runs. This role is Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, or less by arrangement. We are looking for someone to support us through a particularly busy period, with the potential for the role to become permanent should demand continue.

You will become a familiar face on customer sites: checking needs, coordinating replenishment and following through. You will carry our brand through the way you work, connecting customers with our team and the solutions that can help them.

What you will do

  • Plan efficient routes and complete deliveries and customer visits reliably.

  • Pick, pack and prepare orders; load, secure and unload goods safely.

  • Verify deliveries, obtain proof of delivery and keep accurate records using our delivery systems.

  • Build customer relationships, respond to routine queries and escalate issues promptly.

  • Recognise replenishment needs, introduce relevant products and share campaigns and service updates.

  • Feed customer enquiries, sales opportunities, new prospects and market information back to Sales.

  • Support warehouse operations, stock movements and inventory activities between deliveries.

  • Complete daily vehicle checks, keep the vehicle tidy and report maintenance needs or safety concerns promptly.

Who you are

You are grounded, approachable and professional, comfortable with drivers, operators, site managers and business owners. You listen, stay calm when plans change and do what you say you will.

You enjoy being out among customers, organise your day well and work cooperatively with the team. You notice what needs doing, ask useful questions and take responsibility for following through. Practical ability and confidence with basic tools would also be useful as future service opportunities develop.

You will need

  • A current full New Zealand driver’s licence and a safe, responsible approach to driving.

  • Good communication, route-planning and time-management skills, plus confidence using basic computer and mobile systems.

  • The ability to regularly lift, carry, push and pull products safely, using appropriate handling equipment, and enter and exit the vehicle throughout the day.

  • Willingness to work indoors and outdoors, travel regularly within your territory and occasionally elsewhere in New Zealand, including overnight stays.

  • Experience in delivery, distribution or customer service is preferred. We value reliability, initiative, sound judgement and how you treat people.
