Lead health, safety and wellbeing across a large, complex organisation with a progressive future. This is a high-impact leadership role where you’ll shape strategy, lift performance, and embed a strong safety culture that protects people and supports sustainable outcomes.
The opportunity
We’re looking for an exceptional leader to drive enterprise-wide health, safety and wellbeing performance across a complex operational environment. You’ll set the direction for critical risk management, strengthen assurance frameworks, and deliver wellbeing initiatives that make a real difference. You’ll partner closely with senior leaders and executive stakeholders to provide strategic advice, governance and insights that influence decision-making and enable continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
• Lead and evolve a progressive HSW strategy
• Work closely with and advise the Executive leadership Team and
senior leaders
• Drive enterprise-wide safety culture uplift and leadership
accountability
• Strengthen critical risk management, assurance and reporting
frameworks
• Build and lead a high-performing team that delivers measurable
outcomes
• Partner effectively with operational leaders and
external/contractor-led environments
About you
You are a proven health and safety leader with a track record of influencing at executive level and leading high-performing teams. You are confident working in complexity, bring others on the journey, and know how to turn strategy into practical, embedded change.
You will bring:
• 8-10+ years senior leadership experience
• Strong technical expertise across health, safety and wellbeing,
including the Health and Safety at Work Act ,HSEQ systems,
PCBU obligations and ISO45001
• Experience embedding enterprise-wide safety systems and
improving organisational maturity
• A background delivering results in large-scale operational
environments
• Excellent senior stakeholder management skills, judgement and
presence
• A strategic thinker who can translate strategy into practical
delivery
