deiji is growing, and we're looking for an enthusiastic, motivated Store Manager to lead our team at Chartwell Shopping Centre in Hamilton.
We're a New Zealand-owned and operated business bringing the best of Korean, Japanese and Asian beauty to New Zealand. With a growing number of stores and an exciting online business, there's plenty happening at deiji.
We're looking for someone who loves retail, has a genuine interest in beauty and skincare, and knows how to create a store experience that keeps customers coming back.
About the role
As Store Manager, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day running of our Chartwell store, leading your team, driving sales and making sure every customer receives a first-class experience.
You'll be hands-on, leading by example and creating a positive, supportive environment where your team can learn, grow and enjoy coming to work.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading, motivating and developing your retail team.
Driving sales and working towards store targets and KPIs.
Delivering exceptional customer service and building lasting customer relationships.
Ensuring the store is presented to a high standard and reflects the deiji brand.
Managing rosters, stock, merchandising and day-to-day store operations.
Keeping up with new products, beauty trends and industry developments.
Creating an energetic and positive team culture.
What we're looking for
Previous retail management or supervisory experience.
A natural ability to lead, motivate and bring out the best in people.
A strong customer-first approach and genuine passion for delivering great service.
Commercial awareness and the ability to drive sales and achieve targets.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
A hands-on attitude – you're happy to roll up your sleeves and get involved.
An interest in beauty, skincare and cosmetics. Knowledge of K-Beauty or Asian beauty is a bonus, but not essential!
Most importantly, you'll be positive, approachable, reliable and someone who enjoys being part of a team.
