• Experienced VB6 Developer with strong .NET, SQL Server and legacy enterprise application support experience required

We are seeking an experienced VB6 Developer to support, enhance and modernise business-critical enterprise applications. You will work across legacy VB6 systems and contemporary Microsoft technologies, contributing to application maintenance, defect resolution, database development, system integration and technology uplift.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance enterprise applications using VB6 and .NET
• Support Windows thick-client applications, including WinForms UI/UX
• Develop and optimise SQL Server databases, T-SQL, stored procedures, functions, triggers and views
• Build and maintain SSIS packages supporting ETL, data migration and integration
• Produce technical specifications, solution designs, support documentation and deployment guides
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, testers and stakeholders
• Support CI/CD and DevOps practices using Azure DevOps and Git

Essential Criteria 

• Strong commercial experience developing and supporting Visual Basic 6 applications, which is mandatory
• Experience with.NET, C# and Windows Forms
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL
• Experience supporting enterprise-grade thick-client applications
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and performance-tuning skills
