Te Whiwhinga mahi  - The Opportunity- Fixed term Maternity leave cover from November 2026 to July 2027

This Fixed term role provides the leadership, subject matter expertise and oversight of management information and analytics services. These services are critical to enable operations management, contract management, problem-solving, continuous improvement, planning, and governance.

You'll be

• A technical leader, enabling your people and supporting their growth, while being willing to get stuck into the work when needed.
• Results focused, able to switch between immediate operational demands and future strategic work.
• Able to take full ownership and accountability of setting the direction and delivery for your area, balanced with listening and responding to the needs of your stakeholders. 

Key Tasks include:

• Coaching and mentoring a team of ten to increase their knowledge, capability and effectiveness.
• Leading the generation of valuable performance insights, using advanced analytics to inform strategic and operational direction.
• Embedding data literacy, analytics capability and data-driven decision-making across the directorate.
• Partnering with technology teams across AT, Council Group, and partner organisations to make sure PT&AM's requirements are met, including securing access to and ingesting new data sources.
• Programme management of data architecture, analytics and management information projects.
• Virtual leadership of project delivery teams across AT and suppliers, ensuring pace of change is maintained and projected benefits are achieved.
• Applying learnings from customers, stakeholders, other PT authorities and data providers to enhance our analytics and reporting offerings.
• Effectively engaging all key stakeholders with our data strategy, key metrics and required delivery outcomes.
• Supporting development of strategic plans and governance reporting.
• Responding to urgent operational needs.

Ko koe tēnei | About you

• A tertiary degree qualification in a business or technology related discipline.
• Ten years leadership in large and complex operational businesses.
• 14+ years analytics, insights and reporting experience.
• Five years leading tangible business improvement.
• Desired would be a post graduate qualification and advanced data analytics research qualifications
