CLL is a specialist ground engineering company based in Kumeu. Across Auckland, we deliver piling, ground anchors, retaining walls, slip stabilisation and ground improvement works. The skills you’ve built drilling and cutting concrete, like reading the machine, feeling the tooling and working to tight tolerances, are exactly what makes a great rig operator. What moving to the rigs means for you:
Less strain, same skill. Swap handheld saws and core drills for a rig cab. You’ll still do hands-on, technical work, without the daily pounding on your back, shoulders and knees.
No two jobs alike. Piling, ground anchors, retaining walls and slip stabilisation mean new ground conditions, new setups and new problems to solve on every site.
Somewhere to go. Start as a trainee operator and work towards running rigs independently, with the chance to move into senior operator or site leadership roles.
Learn while you earn. You’ll be on full pay from day one, training alongside our experienced operators until you’re ready to take the controls on your own.
Gear worth running. Our Liebherr, Soilmec and Geax fleet is well maintained and properly looked after, backed by solid systems and planning on every job.
What we're looking for:
A solid background in concrete drilling, coring or cutting
A feel for machinery, meaning you know when something’s running right and when it isn’t, and you look after your gear
Openness to learning new equipment and methods, with confidence in the skills you already have
Reliability, which means turning up on time, working well without close supervision and keeping safety front of mind
A full, clean NZ driver licence

This is a full-time, permanent position offering 40+ hours per week, with a pay range of $30–$40 per hour depending on experience.
