ABOUT THE ROLE
Do you love turning data into insights that shape real decisions? Reporting to the General Manager, Member Engagement Business Performance, you'll join the newly established Business Performance team, working closely with the Business Performance Manager and divisional leaders. You will bring together business, financial, operational and member data into clear insights that support planning, performance improvement and decision-making. You'll develop performance reporting, investigate the drivers of results, support business planning and benefits measurement, and apply business analysis and process improvement skills to support priority initiatives from discovery through to review.
Key responsibilities:
- Analyse financial, operational, member and commercial performance to identify trends, drivers and opportunities, and turn insights into practical recommendations.
- Support business planning, target setting, forecasting and prioritisation, including business cases, options analysis, decision papers and benefits measurement.
- Develop and improve performance reporting, scorecards and dashboards that show what’s happening and where action is needed
- Apply business analysis and process improvement skills, from clarifying requirements through to implementation and review.
- Build trusted relationships across Member Engagement, Finance, Data, Digital and IT to improve data, measures and ways of working.
ABOUT YOU
You are an experienced analyst who enjoys making complex data simple and telling the story behind it. You build strong relationships, think strategically and turn insights into practical actions. You’ll also demonstrate:
- Extensive experience in business performance analysis, management reporting, planning or commercial analysis, ideally within a membership, professional services, education, not-for-profit or similarly complex organisation.
- Strong analytical and business analysis skills, including business cases, options analysis, requirements gathering, process mapping and continuous improvement.
- Confident working with data and reporting tools, with advanced Excel skills and experience developing reports, scorecards or dashboards; Power BI or similar tools would be an advantage.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships, facilitate discussions and communicate complex information clearly.
- A strategic, curious and commercially minded approach, with sound judgement, adaptability and a focus on finding practical ways to improve performance and outcomes.
