Looking for investigative work that matters, with a genuinely great team around you?

You’ll join an experienced, supportive and collaborative team that enjoys working together, while contributing to fairness, professional accountability and public confidence.

About the role | Mō te tūranga

Working within legislative and policy frameworks, you’ll ensure matters are progressed thoroughly, fairly and within agreed timeframes.

What you’ll bring | Ngā pūkenga

We’re looking for someone with practical, hands-on investigations experience who is confident interviewing people, assessing evidence and working through complex or sensitive matters.

You’ll bring:
  • Proven experience conducting investigations in a regulatory, professional standards, statutory, Police, legal, disciplinary, public sector or other relevant investigative environment
  • Demonstrated experience conducting investigative interviews
  • Strong evidence-gathering, analysis and report-writing skills
  • Sound judgement and an understanding of fair process, natural justice and confidentiality
  • Ability to manage an investigations caseload and competing priorities
  • Professionalism, discretion and resilience when working with sensitive information
  • Working knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and tikanga Māori, and an ability to apply this in your work
This could be a great next step if you’re looking to bring your established investigative skills into professional regulation. You may already work within a health, police, professional regulatory body, or come from another environment where robust investigations are central to your work.
