For this position, the perfect Rhino should have the following skills: - 6 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer
- Experience in designing, developing, and supporting large-scale cloud-native data solutions on AWS and Databricks to enable scalable, secure, and high-performing data processing supporting AI and analytics workloads.
- Previous experience in building and maintaining robust batch, streaming, and real-time data pipelines using Apache Spark, Databricks, Delta Lake, and related Big Data technologies to process high-volume and high-velocity data workloads.
- Being comfortable leading modernization initiatives migrating data workloads from Hadoop-based platforms, including HDFS and Hive, to cloud-native architectures leveraging modern Lakehouse principles with Apache Iceberg and Delta Lake.
- Experience developing scalable distributed data processing applications using Python, Java, or Scala within Spark and other distributed computing frameworks to optimize performance, data modelling, and query tuning.
- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform along with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native monitoring and observability practices to drive automation, operational efficiency, and cost management.
- Collaborate with Architects, Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Software Engineers in Agile/Scrum environments to define, evaluate, and implement cloud data solutions ensuring compliance with enterprise-scale data governance and security standards.
- Evaluate and incorporate event-streaming technologies such as Apache Kafka and Flink and support AI-driven data platforms including MLOps to advance Marketing Services' cloud and data strategy.
- Fluency in English (at least a B2/C1 level)
- Availability for Hybrid model (based in Lisbon)
- Being based in Portugal with Portuguese or EU citizenship, or a valid work permit
