Due to continued company growth, iRentProperty is looking for an enthusiastic, organised and motivated Junior Property Manager to join our friendly Rotorua-based team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong administration and customer service skills who is keen to develop a career in residential property management.
You don't need previous property management experience. We're looking for someone with the right attitude, excellent attention to detail and a genuine willingness to learn. We'll provide the guidance, hands-on training and ongoing support to help you develop your skills and confidence.
Working alongside our experienced property management team, you'll initially focus on administration and operational support, gradually taking on more property management responsibilities as your knowledge and experience grow.
What You'll Be Doing
No two days in property management are quite the same! Your role will include a mix of office-based administration, customer service and practical property management activities.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing administrative support to our property management team
Preparing tenancy documents, agreements, correspondence and reports
Maintaining accurate property and tenancy records across our management systems
Responding to enquiries from tenants, landlords and prospective applicants
Assisting with advertising rental properties, arranging viewings and processing tenancy applications
Coordinating maintenance requests and communicating with contractors
Supporting routine property inspections, ingoing inspections and end-of-tenancy processes
Assisting with rent monitoring, arrears follow-up and other tenancy administration
Learning about the Residential Tenancies Act, Healthy Homes Standards and other relevant legislation
Gradually developing the skills and confidence to take on greater property management responsibilities
What We're Looking For
We're hiring for attitude and potential, not just experience.
You'll be someone who enjoys being organised, takes pride in getting the details right and genuinely enjoys helping people.
Ideally, you'll bring:
Strong administration and organisational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Confidence using computers, Microsoft Office and online systems
The ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing demands
A friendly, professional and approachable manner
Initiative, common sense and a practical, solutions-focused attitude
A willingness to learn, accept feedback and develop new skills
The ability to work independently while being part of a supportive team
A full New Zealand driver's licence
Previous experience in administration, customer service, real estate or property management would be an advantage, but is absolutely not essential.
