Main duties of the job
The successful candidates will join a team of 16 Registrars/clinical fellows on a 1 in 8 on-call rota.
On-call cover during the day is provided by an onsite Consultant (8-9.30pm weekdays and 8-2pm weekends), 1 senior registrar/CF (ST6-7 level), 1 junior registrar (ST3-5 level), 1 ST1-2/FY2 Dr for obstetrics and 1 ST1-2/FY2 Dr for Gynaecology. At nighttime the unit is staffed onsite by 1 senior registrar/CF (ST6-7) and 1 junior registrar (ST3-5 level) with the Consultant on-call available to attend from home.
Other occasional job duties will include general obstetrics and gynaecology clinics, including Recurrent Miscarriage Clinic, Labour Ward sessions and emergency gynaecology cover.
