The Waipa Community Facilities Trust is run by the community for the community. Joining our team means you are committed to providing a quality experience for all who use our facilities.

As a Lifeguard, you will work with our fun team at the Perry Aquatic Centre in Cambridge, to meet the customer’s needs in terms of information, services, access and support, promptly and courteously, thus maximising customer enjoyment, safety and encouragement of ongoing facility use.

You will ideally have:
• A current NZQA First Aid Certificate
• A current PLPC Lifeguard Certificate
• Previous experience of aquatic facilities and knowledge of aquatic facility activities
However full training can be provided for the right person. To gain the PLPC qualification the minimum age is 16 years.

Our facilities are open between 6am – 9pm Monday to Friday and 8am - 7pm on weekends. Your hours of work will be on a rostered basis covering these hours so flexibility is a must.

A copy of the roster will be sent to you on receipt of application to view and confirm whether it will work for you prior to organising an interview.

Applicants must be a NZ resident or have a valid work visa, you also need to be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and police vetting.
