Veterinary Nurse/Receptionist, part-time on Saturday mornings

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Veterinary Nurse/Receptionist to join our friendly team. Join a welcoming veterinary clinic team in a part time customer-focused reception role. You will be the first point of contact for clients and their pets, helping create a calm, professional and supportive experience while contributing to the smooth running of the clinic.The role is a combination of customer service, reception duties, answering phones and triaging patients over the phone.

Vets On Riverbank is a mixed animal, privately owned practice based in Otaki in a modern, new and purpose-built clinic. We offer a high level of customer service and have great pride in our involvement with the local community.  Sunny Otaki is a close knit semi-rural beach town.

What we're looking for

The position is for Saturday’s only, working from 8:30am – 1:00pm. We offer a competitive remunerative rate, depending on your level of experience.

To be successful in this role you will need to have

• Either previous veterinary clinic reception experience or a relevant veterinary nursing qualification is a must

• A sunny, approachable personality and a genuine commitment to excellent service

• The ability to remain calm under pressure and manage competing priorities. The ability to work within a team but also show confidence working unassisted.

• Strong communication, organisation and administration skills

• Confidence using computers and learning clinic systems

• A compassionate and caring attitude with a professional approach to clients, their pets and colleagues

• Eligibility to work in New Zealand
