About the role
The Business & Data Insights Analyst is the person who makes sense of it all. You will understand how our processes and systems currently work, break them down to their essentials, and rebuild them into better, cleaner, more automated ways of working. You will cleanse and model the data that sits behind those systems and turn it into reporting and insights that business owners and managers can actually use to make decisions. This is a hands-on, collaborative role for an early-career analyst who wants to be at the centre of a major business transformation. You'll split your time between working directly with people across the business and doing technical data and systems work, so strong communication skills matter as much as technical ability.
Key responsibilities
Work with managers and end users to understand current processes and pain points, and translate their needs into clear requirements for process, system and reporting change.
Map and document current workflows, then redesign them to remove manual effort, rework and errors.
Support change management by developing user guides and procedures and training staff on new processes and systems.
Streamline and automate rate schedule maintenance, invoicing and the monthly Fuel Adjustment Factor (FAF) process, working with Finance and Customer Service to reduce manual effort and improve accuracy.
Validate billing and revenue calculations as systems and processes change.
Design, build and automate Power BI dashboards and reports covering financial and operational metrics.
Prepare and deliver Customer Quarterly Business Review (QBR) reporting, including performance, service and revenue insights.
Analyse trends, profitability and billing accuracy, identify revenue leakage and recommend corrective action.
Use SQL, Power Query and Excel to extract, cleanse and reconcile data across the TMS, WMS and ERP, particularly during migration and cutover.
Own master data across the TMS, WMS and ERP, maintaining consistent customer, rate and product records and the governance rules that keep integrated systems aligned.
