Group Head of FP&A

/Prague/
About Role:
Our Client is seeking an experienced Group Head of FP&A to strengthen and further develop the Group FP&A function. This is a senior Group Finance role, reporting into the Group Finance leadership, with the objective of providing reliable steering information to the business, country CFOs, and senior management.
The role is not a purely reporting or budgeting position. The successful candidate will help move FP&A from producing numbers to actively supporting business decisions, performance management, and corrective actions across the Group.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the Group budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning process.
- Develop reliable financial and operational KPIs for management decision-making.
- Improve reporting quality, consistency, timeliness, and practical business value.
- Build dashboards and analytical tools that make performance easier to understand and manage.
- Support country CFOs with steering information, corrective-action analysis, and performance reviews.
- Challenge numbers, assumptions, forecasts, project budgets, and business cases rather than only collecting inputs.
- Oversee P&L, overhead, project-budget, capex, and business-case analysis.
- Cover financial and operational KPIs across key business areas, including Operator, Developer, and Energy.
- Translate accounting and financial data into clear business conclusions and recommended actions.
- Work closely with controlling, accounting, country finance teams, and business stakeholders.
- Lead a small FP&A / controlling team and raise its quality, ownership, and efficiency.
- Continuously search for simplification, automation, and better use of data / AI tools.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in FP&A, business controlling, financial planning, or performance management at senior level.
- Experience in a Group, multi-country, or complex corporate environment is strongly preferred.
- Strong ability to connect financial data with operational performance and business decision-making.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, KPI development, and business-case analysis.
- Ability to challenge assumptions and numbers in a constructive, business-oriented way.
- Strong analytical skills across P&L, overheads, capex, project budgets, and financial performance.
- Experience in real estate, industrial/logistics, infrastructure, energy, construction, development, or another asset-heavy sector is a plus.
- Experience with dashboards, BI tools, planning systems, automation, or data-driven finance tools is a plus.
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing or developing a small team.
- Excellent communication skills; fluent English is a must.
- Practical, hands-on, business-oriented mindset with strong ownership and attention to quality.
Client Offers:
- Competitive salary and benefits package.
- Opportunity to build and professionalize a Group-level FP&A function with visible business impact.
- Senior role with exposure to Group Finance leadership, country CFOs, and senior management.
- International working environment across multiple countries and business areas.
- Opportunity to influence performance management, decision-making, and business steering across the Group.
- Room to improve processes, introduce better tools, and drive automation and smarter use of data.
- Chance to join a fast-growing, ambitious European real estate platform with a strong operational and development focus.
