Golf Shop Assistant

Whitford Park is located in Auckland’s Eastern Suburbs. This role will see you assisting our Golf Operations team by providing outstanding customer service in the Pro Shop to our members and visitors to the club.

We are looking for a person available to work Wednesday/Thursday/Saturday shifts.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Providing outstanding customer service to all visitors at the club.

• All aspects of golf operations including checking players into their round, money handling, shop sales, motorised cart hire, assistance with competitions and events.

• Cleaning of motorised carts at the conclusion of play.

• Ensuring all conditions of play are being meet by visitors and members.

• Monitoring the Tee Sheet to ensure play remains on time.

• Marshalling players to ensure playing speed is complied with.

About you:

Alongside your passion for providing excellent service, you will be a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills.

Other attributes that would contribute to your success include:

• At least two years’ experience working within the golf industry (desirable, not essential).

• Ability to multi-task and work with conflicting priorities.

• Ideally strong golfing ability and a thorough understanding of the game.

• Ability to work flexible hours as required including nights/weekends/public holidays.

• Assist the wider golf operation during peak season from November – May.
