We're looking for a Finance Specialist who enjoys more than just processing transactions. This is an opportunity to play a key role in keeping our financial operations running smoothly while providing valuable insights and support that help the business make informed decisions.

If you're someone who loves accuracy, enjoys solving problems, has a naturally curious mindset and takes pride in delivering excellent service, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

As our Finance Specialist, you'll be a trusted member of the Finance team, working closely with the Finance Manager and stakeholders across the business.

Your day-to-day work will include:

  • Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes

  • Preparing payment runs, invoices and bank reconciliations

  • Maintaining the fixed asset register and general ledger reconciliations

  • Preparing GST, PAYE, FBT and Income Tax returns and liaising with IRD when required

  • Supporting audits and providing accurate financial information

  • Responding to vendor, contractor and client queries professionally and efficiently

  • Analysing financial and non-financial information to identify trends, risks and opportunities

  • Producing regular and ad hoc reports that support sound business decisions

  • Contributing to process improvements and helping us continue to enhance the way we work

This is a varied role where no two days are quite the same, offering plenty of opportunity to broaden your experience and make a meaningful contribution.

What we're looking for

You'll bring a solid finance and tax knowledge, strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality outcomes.

Ideally, you'll have:

  • 3+ years' experience in a finance, accounts or tax role

  • Intermediate accounting knowledge and practical experience across accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliations and tax calculation obligations

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems

  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills

  • A customer-focused approach and the ability to work collaboratively across the organisation

  • High levels of integrity, discretion and professionalism

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities

Most importantly, you'll be someone who is proactive, adaptable and enjoys contributing to a positive, high-performing team culture.
