About the role
The Agribusiness Analyst is responsible for working closely with the Agribusiness Specialists in providing agribusiness analysis and advisory services to external clients.
Key responsibilities
Prepare financial business performance analysis and reports and provide support with financial modelling and investment analysis
Use financial budgeting and reporting tools to develop and interpret trends analysis and financial benchmark information for strategic business opportunities
Assist in the analysis associated with investment and farm purchases
Contribute to post-investment analytical reviews of major business initiatives, projects, and investments
Assist in conducting operational due diligence on prospective farms
Provide support in the form of economic and analytical content in the form of data and/or narrative for a range of business documents such as Investment Memorandums, Business Plans and Annual Reports
Provide clients with agribusiness advisory services to help them achieve sustainable farming solutions in the areas of business planning, financial budgeting, risk management, budgets, cashflow and production targets
Analyse production and efficiency of all aspects of farm operations and develop and monitor KPI/Benchmarking of productivity indices
Identify opportunities to improve on-farm performance through improvements in policies, implementing new farm systems and/or technology
Develop and maintain strong business relationships and assess local market conditions
About you
Relevant tertiary qualification in Agricultural science or equivalent qualification
Competent in the use of all computer systems
Able to confidently and accurately prepare and analyse financial information for clear and concise reporting to clients
Ability to work independently in the areas of business planning, farm advisory to company clients, enterprise analysis and risk management
Current drivers' licence
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent written and verbal skills
Ability to build strong business relationships
Strategic mindset to instinctively find effective pathways to move forward and deliver
