- Evaluate supplied part data for tool design & manufacturing feasibility.
- Analyse given part data and prepare DFM and liaise with project team to get customer approval.
- Assist sales team in terms of finalising tool cost by deriving tool layout, Shot size, Mould type & Feed system type.
- Develop conceptual design & layout in alignment with customer specification for down level designers and drafts men.
- Develope 3D design & complete activity in shorter lead time.
- Organise and conduct tool design review with cross functional team of tool room and initiate tool manufacturing process.
- Guide Assistant Engineers to convert the 3D model to 2D drawing for Shop floor.
- Prepare design deliverables like BOM & Drawing and control document & Prepare issue records.
- Organise and conduct manufacturing review and initiate manufacturing activity.
- Prepaer and issue Steel Dimension Report to track and ensure all the specifications are met.
- Prepare and maintain related documents.
