About the opportunity
Based in our Dunedin branch, we have an opportunity for an energetic, organised and well-spoken customer service and sales professional to join our company.
This is a fixed term position for 12 months to provide parental leave cover.
This is a unique hybrid role within a small, high performing branch where you play a key part in both inside sales and warehouse operations. It is ideal for someone who enjoys a variety, takes initiative and thrives in a hands on environment.
Key Responsibilities
Responding to customer enquiries received by email, phone or walk-in. Serving walk-in customers at the branch counter.
Preparing and following up on quotes.
Processing orders using our ERP system (SAP).
Assisting with warehouse activities during times of high demand and covering leave.
Goods receipt and quality inspection of incoming goods.
Pick, pack, ship stock of PVF (Pipes, Valves and Fittings) materials.
Handle documentation and certificates for shipment.
Maintain warehouse & showroom cleanliness.
Undertake accurate and timely cycle counts/stocktaking.
Adhere to internal and external safety policies.
Do you have the following mixture of skills and experience?
Excellent interpersonal skills, well-spoken with the ability to listen and engage in customer conversations to best understand their needs.
Experience in a customer service role or sales environment.
Previous warehouse experience (desirable).
Willingness and aptitude to learn a technical product range.
Organised and well-structured method of working.
Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems.
Experience with SAP or a similar ERP system is advantageous but not essential.
You hold a full clean NZ drivers license and preferably are forklift certified, with F endorsement.
