Travvia | JUCY & Star RV

Keep our fleet moving and help our customers get out there!

Are you a hands-on Mechanic or Diesel Mechanic who enjoys troubleshooting, problem-solving and keeping vehicles in top condition? Travvia is looking for a skilled and motivated mechanic to join our team, helping maintain our fleet of rental vehicles, campervans and motorhomes.

Travvia is home to well-known travel brands, including JUCY and Star RV. We help people explore Australia and New Zealand, and our fleet plays a big part in making those adventures possible. If you take pride in your workmanship, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and want to be part of a team that keeps people moving, we’d love to hear from you!

What you'll be doing

  • Carrying out routine servicing, scheduled maintenance and preventative maintenance across our fleet.
  • Diagnosing mechanical faults and performing repairs on vehicles, engines and associated components.
  • Inspecting vehicles to identify mechanical, electrical and safety issues.
  • Performing repairs and maintenance on diesel engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension and other vehicle components, as applicable to your experience.
  • Completing pre- and post-repair inspections to ensure vehicles are safe and roadworthy.
  • Identifying and reporting additional repair requirements to minimise vehicle downtime.
  • Maintaining accurate service records, repair documentation and maintenance reports.
  • Working closely with the wider workshop, fleet and operations teams to ensure vehicles are available and ready for hire.
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop in accordance with health and safety requirements.
  • Supporting the ongoing reliability, presentation and performance of the Travvia fleet.

What you'll bring

  • Relevant automotive mechanical qualifications or a recognised trade qualification.
  • Previous experience as a Mechanic, Automotive Technician or Diesel Mechanic.
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills, with the ability to identify and resolve mechanical issues efficiently.
  • Experience working on light vehicles, commercial vehicles, diesel engines or similar equipment.
  • A commitment to quality workmanship, safety and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team.
  • Good communication skills and a practical, solutions-focused approach.
  • A current, full driver's licence, or the ability to obtain one as required for the role.
  • A positive attitude, reliability and a genuine interest in keeping vehicles running at their best.
  • Experience with campervans, motorhomes, fleet maintenance or rental vehicles would be an advantage.

Why join Travvia?

  • Variety in your work: Work across a diverse fleet of vehicles rather than doing the same job every day.
  • Be part of the adventure: Help keep our customers moving and exploring with confidence.
  • Supportive team environment: Work alongside people who value practical skills, teamwork and getting the job done.
  • Opportunity to grow: Develop your mechanical skills and broaden your experience across our fleet.
  • A role that makes a difference: Your work directly supports our vehicle availability, customer experience and business operations.
